The short version

Arab Hub Post is a news site. You can read it without an account, and we collect as little as we need to keep it running, secure and useful. We do not sell personal data.

What we collect, and why

Server logs

Like most websites, our servers keep logs of requests. These can include your IP address, the pages requested, the time, and basic browser and device details. We use them to keep the site working, to investigate faults, and to detect abuse and attacks. Logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted or reduced.

Cloudflare

We use Cloudflare as a content delivery and security layer. Your requests pass through its network, which helps the site load quickly and filters malicious traffic. In doing so Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses. Its handling of that data is described in its own privacy documentation.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage only for essential functions and to remember a choice you made. For example, if you pick a language or a “my country” view, that preference is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site can show it next time. This information stays on your device. You can clear it at any moment from your browser settings, and the site will simply forget your choice.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly analytics that produce aggregate statistics, such as how many people read a regional section. These tools are not used to build advertising profiles or to follow individuals across other sites.

Contact form

If you write to us, we use your message and the contact details you provide only to respond and, where relevant, to correct or review content. We do not add you to mailing lists or pass your message to advertisers.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal data.
• We do not show personalized advertising based on your reading history.
• We do not require you to register to read.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting and security providers, and only to the extent needed for that purpose. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the GDPR, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law may give you rights to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. We have written this notice with those frameworks in mind, but we do not claim any certification or guarantee of compliance. To make a request, use our contact page and describe what you are asking for. We may need to confirm that the request really comes from you.

Retention and security

We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purposes above. We use reasonable technical measures to protect it, though no online service can promise absolute security.

Children

The site is a general news publication and is not directed at young children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

When we change this notice, we will update the date at the top. Please check it from time to time.
