According to the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Omani Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, received Dr. Géza Andreas von Geyr, State Secretary of the German Federal Foreign Office, today.

Oman‑Germany talks focus on bilateral ties

In Muscat, the officials reviewed the state of bilateral relations between Oman and Germany and explored ways to strengthen them, noting Germany’s aim to diversify existing cooperation fields and to encourage German private sector engagement in available opportunities.

Discussion of cooperation and regional issues

They also exchanged views on the escalating regional situation and matters of common interest, with the German representative expressing appreciation for Oman’s constructive role in de‑escalation and mediation efforts.

The meeting was attended by Yousef bin Ahmed Al Jabri and Monika Iwersen, who serves as the German Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman.
