SULB Wins GCC Industrial Excellence Award at Made in GCC 2026

Award Recognition

Bahrain-based SULB, a wholly owned subsidiary of Foulath Holding, has been awarded the GCC Industrial Excellence Award at the Made in GCC 2026 Forum and Exhibition, in recognition of its work to boost the competitiveness and market reach of Bahrain‑made products.

The award was collected by Foulath Holding’s government relations manager, Ali Abdulla Fakhro, during the forum, which concluded last Thursday at Exhibition World Bahrain.

Takamul Initiative and Market Access

The honour highlights SULB’s success under the Takamul initiative, a Bahrain‑Saudi programme that allows qualifying Bahraini‑manufactured goods to receive local‑product treatment in Saudi Arabia.

By working with the Saudi Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA), SULB secured a place for its qualifying products on the Saudi Mandatory List, becoming the first Bahraini company to achieve this inclusion.

This development enables SULB to take part in Saudi government and public‑sector projects where procurement rules favour items on the Mandatory List, and it forms part of the company’s broader market‑access strategy to strengthen the position of its Bahrain‑produced goods in the kingdom, improve their competitiveness and benefit from Saudi local‑content and procurement rules.

Leadership Comments

SULB chairman Faisal Al Roomi said, “We are proud to receive the GCC Industrial Excellence Award at Made in GCC 2026. This recognition reflects SULB’s continued efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of Bahrain‑manufactured products and expand their access to key regional markets.”

He added, “Our achievement under the Takamul initiative demonstrates the tangible opportunities that closer industrial integration can create for manufacturers across the GCC.”

The achievement underscores the practical value of the Takamul initiative in deepening industrial integration between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and creating more chances for Bahraini‑made products to compete and grow in the Saudi market.
