Egypt Forecasts Mild Daytime Heat, Cool Nights and Possible Rain Across Regions

Overview of Expected Conditions

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority said that daytime temperatures will be mildly warm along the northern coasts, Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and northern Upper Egypt, while southern Upper Egypt and South Sinai will remain hot. Egypt’s weather patterns vary between the Mediterranean coast and the desert interior, and the authority’s outlook reflects that diversity.

Nighttime Temperature Drop

After sunset, most of the country is expected to feel cool, with temperatures falling by up to three degrees Celsius.

Weather Phenomena: Fog, Rain and Wind

Morning fog is forecast to form on major roads leading from the northern parts of the country toward Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.

Scattered rainfall with a moderate to occasionally heavy intensity and a forty percent probability is anticipated over sections of the northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt.

Light to moderate rain, with a twenty to thirty percent chance, may affect central and southern Lower Egypt, the Canal cities and could reach Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt and areas farther south toward Halaib and Shalateen.

Active winds are also expected across parts of the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo and South Sinai.
