Published By Regional Desk
Event Overview
Jordan’s Heya initiative, described as the kingdom’s first safe media and community platform for girls and young women, is organizing a dialogue evening titled “Her Health, Her Wellbeing” on Monday, 19 October 2026, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Amman Marriott Hotel, coinciding with global Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event aligns with regional efforts across the Middle East to promote women’s health awareness during October.
Panel Discussions
The discussion will cover breast cancer awareness, hormones, fertility and menopause, as well as women’s physical and mental wellbeing, through two panel sessions featuring a range of experts. The medical panel will include Dr. Aseel Jallad, Dr. Reem Al-Ajlouni and Dr. Layal Al-Asir. The wellbeing panel will feature Dr. Nisreen Al-Otaibi, Rebecca Odeh and Rahaf Hammoudeh. The discussions will be moderated by Lamees Al-Abboudi.
Heya Talks Series and Founders’ Remarks
The event is part of the “Heya Talks” series, which offers expert-led sessions aimed at empowering young women to learn, connect and grow through three main areas: body health awareness, personal development and career pathways. Farah Al-Fayez, co-founder of Heya, said: “We believe awareness is the first line of defense, and open conversations about women’s health are no longer a luxury but a necessity. We want this evening to be a safe space where women can ask their questions without embarrassment.” Co-founder Leen Hajjar said: “Heya was founded on the belief that young women in Jordan deserve meaningful conversations, not merely superficial ones. This session embodies our mission of awareness, growth and building.” Heya was founded by Farah Al-Fayez and Leen Hajjar and operates with the support of the Irshad Center for Development and Knowledge. The initiative seeks to build an informed and empowered women’s community through media content and dialogue-based events. Al-Ghad reported.
