Kuwait and Azerbaijan Explore Environment and Food Security Partnership

Meeting Overview

Kuwait’s Minister of State for Development and Sustainability Affairs Dr Reem Al-Fulaij met Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Kuwait Emil Karimov on Wednesday to discuss boosting cooperation and exchanging expertise in environment and development.

Focus on Food Security and Agriculture

She told KUNA that the meeting, held at the Environment Public Authority, covered closer cooperation on food security, the exchange of expertise in agriculture and land reclamation, and increasing trade in food products between the two countries.

Environmental Cooperation and Sustainable Development Goals

Al-Fulaij added that the two sides also discussed expanding cooperation and coordination to support environmental policies and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
