Call Between Leaders
Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun telephoned Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday to ask about the situation in the Kingdom after attacks that struck King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and other civilian installations and facilities, the Presidency said.
Condemnation and Solidarity
Aoun renewed his condemnation of the attacks and reaffirmed “the solidarity of Lebanon — both leadership and people — with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, and its people,” stating that “these attacks pose a threat to the security and stability of the Kingdom as well as the security and stability of the region.”
Emphasis on Sovereignty and Condolences
He also stressed to Prince Mohammed “the necessity of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and refraining from targeting its vital and civilian facilities,” expressing his condolences over those who lost their lives and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
