Omani citizens can now apply for Philippines e-Visa online ahead of travel

Philippines launches e-Visa for Omani travellers

Oman’s Foreign Ministry has announced that the Republic of the Philippines introduced an electronic visa (e-Visa) system that became effective on 5 October 2026. Omani passport holders can submit their applications through the official website evisa.gov.ph.

How the new visa works

Once approved, the e-Visa can be shown at the point of entry either on a mobile device or as a printed copy; no visa sticker will be placed inside the passport. The electronic authorization is considered valid together with the existing machine-readable visa (MRV) sticker for Category 9(a) temporary visitor visas and for any other visa categories that the Philippines allows.

Key conditions for Omani applicants

The ministry outlined several important rules: the e-Visa cannot be changed into another type of Philippine visa, and the period of stay granted cannot be extended. Travellers must also ensure that their passport remains valid for at least six months beyond the date of arrival and that they hold comprehensive health insurance covering the entire length of their stay in the Philippines.
