Qatar Press Centre Praises Amir's Speech for Outlining Vision of Resilience and Development

Strategic Vision and National Resilience

Qatar Press Centre (QPC) said it welcomes the address given by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani when he opened the 55th annual session of the Shura Council.

Qatar, a Gulf state, continues to navigate a complex regional environment.

It noted that the address outlines a broad strategic vision meant to strengthen security and stability, protect past gains and keep pushing forward with all‑round development even as the region and the world face difficulties.

QPC highlighted that the speech carries messages of confidence in Qatar’s capacity to rise above obstacles, pointing to solid institutions, a united society and a forward‑looking national vision as the basis for that confidence.

It added that the country’s innate strengths and resilience boost its ability to handle crises in a responsible and competent way, turning difficulties into chances that advance the development path and reinforce Qatar’s standing both regionally and internationally.

Government Reform and Economic Direction

QPC also welcomed the remarks in the speech about the awareness and solidarity shown by citizens and residents during exceptional times, together with the praise for the effectiveness of the armed forces and security agencies and the sacrifices of their personnel in defending the homeland and safeguarding sovereignty, which it said reflects the readiness of national institutions to cope with various developments.

Furthermore, QPC commended the directives in the speech to raise the efficiency of the state’s administrative machinery, improve government work procedures, nurture a culture of achievement and accountability, and tie performance to results and output quality.

It said that modernising public administration, using digital tools and embedding efficiency and transparency lead to better services, faster project delivery and stronger institutional capacity to meet the demands of the upcoming phase.

QPC also welcomed the high‑level instructions to diversify the economy, support the private sector and increase investment attractiveness, and to develop the energy, food security and digital transformation sectors.

It valued the efforts to raise education standards, empower young people and reinforce national identity, recognising that investing in human capital is a foundation for sustainable growth.

Media Role and Social Cohesion

QPC stressed the crucial role of the national press and media in keeping up with current events, delivering facts credibly and objectively, relying on trustworthy sources and countering rumours and misinformation, thereby building public awareness and confidence in institutions.

It concluded that social cohesion, institutional effectiveness and mutual trust between the leadership and the people are essential pillars for continuing the development journey, boosting national preparedness, preserving achievements and imagining a more stable and prosperous future.
