Morgan Freeman’s World Cup Suit Replica Draws Attention at Qatar’s Hospitality Expo

In Doha, Qatar, a replica of the suit worn by Morgan Freeman during the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is on display at Hospitality Qatar 2026, as photographed by Victor Bolorunduro for The Peninsula.

The exhibition highlights how local businesses contribute to the country’s major international events.

Exhibition Showcase

The suit, produced by Qatar‑based bespoke tailoring brand Suits and Boots, is presented at the company’s stand, underscoring the role of local enterprises in supporting the nation’s landmark sporting occasion.

The replica mirrors the original outfit Freeman wore at Al Bayt Stadium, where he appeared alongside Qatari cultural figures to deliver a message of unity and shared humanity.

Craftsmanship and Design

Agha Qasim Hussain, founder and CEO of Suits and Boots, and his brother Agha Akbar Hussain, CEO of Integral Services, described the project as one of their proudest achievements, telling The Peninsula, “It was a privilege. It was exciting. It was something we were all really proud of.”

The brothers said their design was chosen from several options presented for Freeman to wear during the ceremony, viewing the selection as recognition of their work’s quality and creativity.

The suit’s design incorporates an element inspired by the traditional Qatari winter shawl, creating a distinctive blend of local cultural identity and contemporary tailoring.

Made from 100% wool sourced from Kashmir, the garment is produced through the company’s bespoke tailoring process, which the brothers noted typically requires 30 working days to complete a hand‑stitched suit.

The retail price of the specially tailored suit exceeds QR10,000, although its significance to the company goes beyond its commercial value.

Business Impact

The display at Hospitality Qatar offers visitors a chance to appreciate the craftsmanship behind the garment and to see how Qatari‑based enterprises support major international events.

At Hospitality Qatar 2026, Suits and Boots participates as the event’s official uniform partner, continuing a longstanding association with Qatar’s exhibition industry.
