Singapore PM Lawrence Wong Leaves Qatar Following Official Visit

Singapore’s Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Lawrence Wong departed Doha on Tuesday, concluding an official visit to Qatar, according to the Qatar News Agency (QNA).

Farewell at Hamad International Airport

The Singaporean leader and his accompanying delegation were seen off at Hamad International Airport by a group of Qatari and Singaporean officials. Among those present were HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Singapore Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Almalki Aljehani, and Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore in Doha Pong Kok Tian.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations

The visit underscores the growing ties between Qatar and Singapore, particularly in areas of trade, investment, and environmental cooperation. Singapore is a key economic partner for Qatar in Southeast Asia, and such high-level exchanges are seen as further solidifying the bilateral relationship.
