Kuwaiti Motorist Sent to Prison, Car Crushed After Hiding in Jahra Stable

KUWAIT — Authorities have arrested a driver for reckless driving in the Jahra stables area, where he attempted to evade capture by concealing his vehicle inside a stable, the General Traffic Department announced.

Arrest and Seizure

The driver was taken into custody and referred to the Central Prison. His car was confiscated and subsequently crushed under Article 33 (bis) of the Traffic Law, the department said.

The arrest came after a report to the operations room about a motorist engaging in dangerous and careless behaviour. Patrols from the department’s Security Control Department searched the area and located the vehicle hidden inside a stable.

In coordination with the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, officers seized the car and later identified and apprehended the driver.

Admission and Warning

When confronted, the driver admitted to the violations, the department confirmed.

The General Traffic Department issued a warning to motorists against reckless driving, stressing that anyone who endangers the lives of others will face the full force of the law. It added that monitoring and enforcement campaigns are continuing to hold accountable anyone who threatens road safety. — MoI
