Kuwait and UAE Senior Officers Discuss Defence Cooperation and Visit EDGE Group

High-Level Talks in Abu Dhabi
Kuwait Army Assistant Chief of General Staff for Supply and Logistics Major General Salah Al-Azmi met with UAE Ministry of Defense Assistant Chief of Staff for Joint Capabilities Major General Ishaq Al-Balushi on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi to discuss ways to strengthen military and defence cooperation between the two countries.
Visit to EDGE Group
According to a statement from the Kuwait Army General Staff, as reported by KUNA, the meeting took place during Al-Azmi’s official visit to the United Arab Emirates, during which the two sides examined issues of mutual interest aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and advancing their shared interests.
The statement added that the Kuwaiti delegation visited the UAE-based EDGE Group, a leading company specialising in defence industries and advanced technology, where it reviewed the latest technologies, systems and defence solutions developed by the group.
Attendees and Regional Context
The meeting was attended by the Chief of the Armament and Equipment Authority, Brigadier General Khalifa Duaij Al-Sabah, together with senior military officers from both Kuwait and the UAE.
Such engagements are part of broader efforts among Gulf neighbours to enhance security collaboration.
