Kuwait Agency and Foreign Ministry Align on Updating Illegal Residents’ Data

Kuwait’s Central Agency for Remedying Illegal Residents’ Status met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday to discuss ways to organise and update illegal residents’ data for consular transactions and to strengthen electronic linkage and data exchange between the two bodies.

Kuwait is part of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Meeting objectives

In a statement, the agency said the coordination meeting with the ministry’s Consular Affairs department covered ways to improve data accuracy and integration between the two sides. This would support digital transformation, speed up transactions and improve the quality of government services.

Attendees

The meeting was chaired by the agency’s Acting Secretary‑General Brigadier Dr Sherif Al‑Kandari. Also attending were Assistant Secretary‑General for Executive Affairs Brigadier Sulaiman Al‑Hussainan, Assistant Secretary‑General for Technical Affairs and Information Abdullah Al‑Farhan and a number of agency officials. The ministry’s Consular Affairs department was represented by Third Secretary Khaled Al‑Khail and Diplomatic Attaché Majed Al‑Rasheed.
