Kuwaiti Education Minister Orders Cancelled Supervisory Exam Results and Orders Retake

Exam results cancelled and retake ordered

According to Kuwait Times, citing KUNA, Kuwait’s Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaei has ordered the cancellation of all results of the fourth-stage examinations for applicants seeking educational supervisory positions and directed that the examinations be held again for all candidates following an investigation into reported irregularities.

In a press statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry of Education said the decision came after an impartial investigation committee completed its review of observations, complaints and alleged irregularities raised by applicants and educators concerning the examinations.

The ministry added that the decision was based on the committee’s findings and aims to safeguard the integrity of examination procedures while ensuring that any future administrative decisions rely on valid and reliable results.

It stressed that confidence in the selection process for educational supervisory positions depends on objective criteria and rigorous procedures free from irregularities, and that protecting the integrity of the examinations and the rights of applicants remains a priority.

The ministry noted that its reaction to concerns from the education sector shows its dedication to examining procedures, confirming their validity and implementing corrective actions to maintain the credibility of administrative processes and bolster trust in the selection of educational supervisors.

The date, venue, duration and content of the retake examinations will be announced later through official channels, and applicants who attended the fourth-stage leadership training courses will be notified of the details to ensure transparency and give them sufficient time to prepare using approved, publicly available information.

Earlier, Al-Tabtabaei had directed the creation of an impartial panel made up of experts from the Fatwa and Legislation Department and the Ministry of Education to look into observations and alleged breaches occurring during the fourth stage of the selection process for educational supervisory roles for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Having finished its review, the panel handed its final report to the minister, detailing its findings and conclusions.

Based on the report, the authorities decided to annul the exam results and schedule a new round of testing.

Literary competition honours Kuwaiti students

He emphasized that backing from the political leadership and its focus on students are essential for raising standards and moving Kuwait’s education system forward.

In a ministry press release, he noted that finding and fostering young talent is a duty of the nation, demanding ongoing work and chances for youths to hone their skills and display their inventiveness in many areas.

He spoke these words as he welcomed and awarded Kuwaiti pupils who had earned bronze medals in the second Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Poetry, Short Story and Novel Competition for the 2025-2026 academic year.

He commended their successes, saying they mirror the literary ability and inventive promise of Kuwaiti learners.

He underlined the value of creating an inspiring learning setting that spotlights and nurtures outstanding talents and motivates pupils to take part in cultural and literary contests across the Gulf and Arab world.

The statement noted that Khalif Jaza, a twelfth-grade science pupil at Al-Waha Secondary School, captured the bronze medal in poetry, and Sheikha Al-Saif, an eleventh-grade science pupil at Al-Farwaniyah Secondary School, took the bronze medal in short story.

The event took place face-to-face between October 6 and October 8 at the Gulf Arabic Language Educational Center in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, featuring contestants from GCC nations who competed in poetry, short story and novel categories.

The ministry remarked that Kuwait’s involvement underscored the pupils’ language and literary talents and their eagerness for cultural activities that sharpen their abilities and boost their confidence in creative potential.
