Jordan’s Election Commission Publishes Preliminary Voter Lists for 2026 Chambers of Commerce Elections

Publication of Preliminary Voter Lists

Jordan’s Independent Election Commission posted the preliminary voter lists on its website on Wednesday, and supervisory committees also displayed the lists at the headquarters of each chamber of commerce. This step follows the Chambers of Commerce Regulation.

Objection Period and Voting Schedule

The commission explained that the lists are divided into two groups: one for establishments that have paid their annual fees and another for those that have not.

Objections to the preliminary lists must be lodged with the election supervisory committee at the relevant chamber’s headquarters. The objection window runs for three days, from Wednesday, 14 October 2026 through Friday, 16 October 2026.

The Board of Commissioners has fixed Saturday, 5 December 2026 as the date for the vote to elect chambers of commerce boards and sector representatives. If the required quorum for the general assembly is not reached, the poll will be postponed to Saturday, 12 December 2026, with those present entitled to proceed.

The commission said the preliminary voter lists can be viewed online; a link is provided for that purpose.
