Tripoli International Airport Launches Recruitment Portal Ahead of Planned 2026 Reopening

Recruitment Drive Ahead of Reopening

Tripoli International Airport launched a recruitment platform yesterday to receive applications from those wishing to work, stating that the initiative forms part of preparations for the airport’s reopening. The airport said the platform opens the way for Libyan youth and those with competencies, qualifications and experience to contribute to the operation of the airport and the development of its services. This step, it added, comes as part of the trend towards attracting national competencies and providing job opportunities, in line with the airport’s needs and operating requirements, and contributes to building qualified cadres capable of performing the required tasks according to the approved specialisations and standards. The platform allows those wishing to submit their applications electronically, which helps organise the recruitment procedures, sort applications and select candidates according to the actual needs of the airport.

Infrastructure and Management Updates

The airport is expected to open sometime in the fourth quarter of 2026, and it is scheduled to open in Q4 2026. The Tripoli International Airport ORAT Committee has reviewed project progress, while Libya inaugurated a new air traffic management centre in Tripoli. The Tripoli airport road has reopened following infrastructure upgrades, and the airport says it is preparing for a potential reopening.

Leadership Oversight

PM Aldabaiba reviewed the progress of Tripoli Airport and the airport road.
