Oman’s Royal Cavalry Joins Moroccan Horse Show

According to the Royal Court Affairs, Oman’s Royal Cavalry is representing the Sultanate at the 17th edition of the El Jadida Horse Show.

Event Details and Theme

The show takes place at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Centre in El Jadida, Morocco, running from 13 to 18 October 2026 under the theme “The Horse in Service of Humanity”. Organisers say the event aims to underscore the long‑standing relationship between humans and horses.

Oman’s Objectives

Through its participation, the Royal Cavalry intends to highlight its dedication to traditional equestrian sports that are part of Oman’s history and to emphasise how such activities help preserve the nation’s intangible cultural heritage linked to horses and horsemanship.

Scale and Attendance

The gathering brings together 700 riders, 100 exhibitors and 1,100 horses of various breeds, representing 50 countries worldwide. The opening ceremony was attended by Khalid bin Salim Bamakhalif, Oman’s ambassador to Morocco, and Brigadier Ahmed bin Khalfan Al Lamki, director-general of the Royal Cavalry. The involvement of Oman’s Royal Cavalry highlights the cultural exchange between the Sultanate and the host nation.
